Sorcerer's Mirror

A fine frameless English bevelled sorcerers mirror from the 1930s, with eight reverse ground optics. Distressing to the mercury plate around the edges of the mirror.

Sorcerer mirrors were an early 16th century design, used to throw light around via the convex optics, thereby giving them "magical powers" - hence the name alluding to a magician or alchemist. It retains it's wooden back and hangs on its original chain.
